ABOUT ME

Hi, I’m Tim Porter. I am a strategic marketer, creative director, and hands-on builder who loves turning ideas into clear, compelling stories that move people to take action.

For the past decade, I’ve led brand strategy, product launches, creative direction, and full-funnel marketing for organizations ranging from emerging startups to multi-million–dollar consumer brands. My work spans research, messaging, content creation, analytics, design, photography, email automation, and large-scale campaign planning. No matter the medium, I focus on creating simple, meaningful experiences that guide people toward their next step.

What sets me apart is that I’m both a strategist and a creator. I can concept a campaign in the morning, build the landing page in the afternoon, write the messaging, design supporting graphics, and analyze performance data the next day. I thrive in roles where I can understand the audience deeply, define the strategy clearly, and then roll up my sleeves to execute with creativity and precision.

I love helping people discover opportunities that can change their lives. That’s one of the reasons I’m drawn to higher education and to Ensign College specifically. Its mission, to develop capable and covenant-keeping disciples of Jesus Christ, is meaningful to me, and I’m excited by the opportunity to help prospective students feel confident, welcome, informed, and inspired as they consider their futures.

I collaborate naturally with teams, love mentoring creatives, and enjoy simplifying complex ideas so they’re easy to act on. Whether I’m building brand identity systems, launching new products, optimizing funnels, or creating videos and visual stories, my goal is always the same: to create work that resonates with real people and produces measurable results.

When I’m not working, you’ll find me running Utah’s trails, building something in my workshop, spending time with my family, serving in the church, or exploring new creative projects. I love learning, I love building, and I love helping others grow.
